A Message From Blue Bridge Development CEO

You’re on this page because you want to know about the people behind Blue Bridge.

Rather than present you with a marketing page, I’m going to take this opportunity to tell you about us in a more direct manner- this letter.

I started Blue Bridge in its first iteration in 2008 in Portland, Oregon as a freelancer and over time grew a distributed team.

Support for Solopreneurs & Corporations Across 16 Timezones

Our clients have ranged across the US and Canada, as far west as Japan, and as far east as Belgium.

We’ve helped businesses as tiny as one-person e-commerce merchants and as large as multinational corporations.

Outside of business, we’ve aided universities, the US Army, and a variety of non-profits.

Deep Technical Experience

In 2009, I got certified as a Zend Engineer for PHP. I did this to prove our technical expertise to clients.

Since then, our team has developed private plugins to automate processes, add functionality, or fix issues for our customers with their 3rd party plugins and themes.

We’ve developed commercial plugins we’ve sold on the market. And we’ve built stand-alone web apps.

The Last Developers You’ll Work With

I know from talking to our customers what you’ve gone through:

  • Untrustworthy developers who use your ignorance of development to devise excuses when they don’t meet their word.
  • Junior developers who code messes and get stuck.
  • Vanishing developers who are quick one day and then go missing for weeks.
  • Developers who can’t communicate clearly about what’s going on with your site.
  • Support queues and hours wasted in a chat box while an amateur bungles through your request (and 5 other people they’re chatting with simultaneously.)

In contrast, customers have characterized us as being extremely professional, responsive, and competent.

Because of this, we’re almost never the first developers to work with someone. However, we’re almost always the *last* developers to work with them.

That’s Us, What About You?

If it seems like we’re a good fit for what you’re looking for….

If you’re ready to offload your technical headaches and get a team you can rely on to manage and support your site…

If you want to connect to chat about how we can help you with a project or supporting your website, just shoot me an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

John is a Zend Certified Engineer who has a passion for writing well designed code and has contributed to the Joomla project as an extension developer, Joomla Community Magazine author, user group team leader, and a bug squasher. Prior to becoming a programming nerd, John served as a Sergeant in the Marine Corps infantry. In his spare time he's likely reading sci-fi, doing pull-ups, geeking out on business, or hiking in the rain.

Nicky

Lead Developer

Nicky grew up in Rockford, Illinois, where in 1999 he built his first website, learning the basics from a couple books. His fascination with computers and compulsive need to sketch eventually led him to central Florida to study Computer Animation at Full Sail University. After several years of creating visual FX for different projects, including a feature length documentary, he gravitated back toward web development. He is always excited to expand his knowledge of PHP programming and on the lookout for creative solutions. In his off hours, Nicky can be found in Woodlawn Park playing ragball (when that Portland sun is out) or enjoying listening to You Made it Weird with a cup of coffee and pipe tobacco (when it's not.)
